
On October 25, 2024, the 26th E-commerce Warsaw Expo was held in Poland. The event brought together more than 5,000 participants, becoming one of the largest events in the field of Polish e-commerce. The main audience of the expo were experts and industry leaders, developers and vendors who came to share their approaches to online sales in the conditions of the modern market and adopt the experience of their colleagues. This time, the event became a platform for discussing new tendencies and trends, including AI and ML solutions, automation and sales optimization systems, as well as other areas of modern business development. Thus, during the event, 160 experienced industry experts held effective master classes, presentations and more than 30 lectures.

Expo Highlights: the results of discussions in figures and speakers’ insights
Experienced speakers and business consultants shared with the audience how today the use of modern technologies, including AI and ML solutions, can increase the profitability of a company, minimize costs and better understand its customers online. One of the speakers on this topic was Liliia Shvid — Data&AI Consultant of SMART business.

In her speech, the speaker talked about how AI technologies can be used to automate customer segmentation, demand forecasting, pricing, and ensuring an ideal customer experience. As it turned out, many entrepreneurs want to “collaborate” with artificial intelligence, but do not know where to start, so at the presentation, the speaker provided a step-by-step overview of how to integrate AI-based tools into a company’s key processes. During the presentation, the following questions were answered:
- How to assess the readiness of an e-commerce business for AI transformation? — It was considered what factors to use to assess the maturity of a company for innovation and determine which tools based on artificial intelligence algorithms will suit current needs.
- “From big data to SMART decisions”, or How to obtain high-quality data? — Using the BROCARD case as an example, it was demonstrated how an integrated database and a comprehensive 360° customer overview can be created. The speaker showed how the company was able to personalize the user experience, thanks to which the number of regular customers increased from 1.8 million to 2 million consumers.
- How does AI help to find hidden sources of income? — Using the McDonald’s Georgia case as an example, the speaker demonstrated the results of implementing the SMART Demand Forecast solution, which helped to increase the accuracy of demand forecasting to 83.1%.
- What does the synergy of AI technologies give in E-commerce? — During this discussion, it became clear that the synergy of artificial intelligence and e-commerce business processes is not only automation, but also the creation of a deep connection with the client through personalization, analytics and scaling of business based on intelligent solutions. We summarized that AI is the key to transforming every online sale and new opportunities for growth.
